In November 1999, the School's
Remembrance Service was dedicated to the memory of one of our past
pupils whose name is engraved on our Second World War memorial. Following the Service, David Seymour, our Head of History, wrote an
article for the magazine of the Friends of the Imperial War Museum,
"Despatches", about schoolchildren and
remembrance. This in turn has led to a research project into how
other schools involve their pupils in remembering those who lost their
lives in both world wars. This information gathered during the
project will ultimately be developed into a further article for
the Despatches magazine.
