It is that time of year again! Every year, we spend about a fortnight filling shoeboxes with treats to form Christmas gifts for families and the elderly across Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine and Romania.
One pupil recently commented that it was her favourite event as it is something she enjoys doing as part of her tutor time. This is one of our favourite charity events of the year as it encourages our pupils each to bring something small that – when put together with everyone else’s efforts – makes a large impact.
Last year we managed to deliver 90 boxes to our Link-to-Hope associate. It will be wonderful if we can be similarly successful this year. If we raise over 80 boxes, we will be able to have our boxes collected from school!
Please see the link for further details and if you would like to be involved, please send in any boxes or items for boxes and ask for your child to bring them to their tutor group or to Roger North.
The delivery rules have changed a little this year. Since we are delivering more than five boxes, it is important that you:
1. Give any £2 donations and gift aid forms in a separate envelope – these will be submitted along with our shoeboxes.
2. Fill in the checklist of items in the box and make sure not to include any prohibited items!
Many thanks for your contributions – boxes have to be delivered by 10th November.
